Kimono Restaurant is looking for an experienced Breakfast Chef to join our growing team in Benicia, California.

Position Overview
The Breakfast Chef will prepare and execute American-style breakfast dishes from a focused breakfast menu while helping maintain an organized, efficient, and high-performing kitchen environment.
This role is ideal for someone with strong breakfast cooking experience who can handle busy morning rushes, communicate well with staff, and help lead breakfast service with confidence and consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook breakfast menu items quickly and consistently
- Ensure all dishes meet Kimono’s quality and presentation standards
- Lead and support breakfast kitchen operations during service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the kitchen
- Set up and stock kitchen stations before breakfast service
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with prep work and inventory management
- Work efficiently during high-volume breakfast periods
- Communicate effectively with front-of-house and kitchen staff
- Help maintain a positive and professional kitchen culture
What We’re Looking For
- Previous breakfast cooking experience required
- Strong understanding of American-style breakfast preparation
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Leadership skills and confidence during busy service periods
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Strong multitasking and communication abilities
- Bilingual candidates preferred, but not required
- Ability to maintain consistency and speed under pressure
- Food Handler Certification preferred
Schedule
- Breakfast service runs from 7:30 AM to 11:30 AM
- Closed Wednesdays for breakfast service
- Flexible scheduling available
- Weekend availability preferred
Compensation
- Competitive pay ranging from $22–$30 per hour depending on experience
- Positions under $24/hour participate in tips
- Positions above $24/hour are non-tipped
