The Town of Danville is located in Contra Costa County, California’s San Ramon Valley. It is one of the incorporated municipalities in California that uses the term “town” rather than “city.” The population was 43,582 at the last census (2020). Danville has been named “the safest town in California” for four years running since 2018.
The town of Danville is home to the Eugene O’Neill National Historic Site, Village Theatre, Art Gallery, and Museum of the San Ramon Valley.
